    School Day

Our school day starts at 8:50 and ends at 3:20

Children may arrive at school from 8.40 am onwards. They may put their bags in the cloakroom but must then go straight on to the playground (not the grass) until the whistle is blown at 8.50 am.  A member of Staff will be on duty on the playground giving supervision from 8.40 am.

In wet weather children may come into school from 8.40 am (when staff will be available for supervision) and sit down in their classrooms to chat quietly, read or get on with their work

School Meals

Children may purchase a mid-morning glass of milk or orange and payment for this is by Parentpay

Children are welcome to bring a snack to eat during their break,

fruit, snack bars and crisps are favourites, though sweets, toffees and chewing gum are not permitted. 

We do run a Healthy Tuck Shop where the children can purchase fruit and carrots supplied by a local greengrocer.  We make a charge of 30p per whole item of fruit or carrot.  Children can also bring a personal flask of water to leave on their table for use during the day.

Children may choose to eat a school meal or bring a packed lunch.  All children in Years R-2 are entitled to a Universal Free School Meal. School meals are prepared on the premises.  Menus are balanced and varied and follow the County Catering Service’s healthy eating policy and Government Guidelines.  A vegetarian option is always available.  Sample menus are available from the school office.

Children having a school meal can choose between two hot meals and a salad.  Good table manners are expected at all times.

Dinner money is collected using our online payment system Parentpay.Meals cost £10.50 for the whole week £2.10 per day.
