We believe that all pupils should be smartly dressed and neat in appearance and that this is appropriate for a day in school.  We have a school uniform which all children are requested to wear during the school day, for educational visits and for after school events such as concerts.  We also believe that the wearing of a school uniform helps to promote a sense of community and contributes to safety during out of school events.

Our uniform:

                                Navy Blue Sweatshirt or Cardigan

Navy blue or White Polo Shirt

                        Grey Trousers, shorts or skirt

                        Summer Dresses for girls

Sweatshirts, cardigans and polo shirts, all bearing the school’s name, can be ordered through the school office.  The order form gives details of current prices and sizes.

We are happy for Year 6 pupils who are coming to the end of their time with us to wear a plain navy sweatshirt, without the school logo, and we can supply these as above.

We ask that all children have a change of shoes with them, for indoor use.  In the Reception Year we ask that children wear shoes of a slip on style, or with Velcro fasteners, rather than lace ups.  This is to ease the changing of shoes at break times.  Also, a pair of ‘wellies’ is advisable for use of the outside area.

In the interests of safety we discourage children from wearing jewellery, especially around the neck.

We do not permit the wearing of ‘body art’ such as stickers, transfers, etc.

For indoor PE children should have a white t-shirt and shorts or leotard.  For outdoor games Key Stage 2 children will need a sweatshirt and shorts or netball/football kit, together with football boots or trainers.

Where jewellery is worn by a child it must be removed or covered up before PE and Games lessons.  This includes the removal of ear studs.  Where ears are newly pierced, and possibly tender, the studs may be covered with elastoplast (or similar) rather than removed.

It is very important that all items of clothing, footwear and school bags are clearly marked with you child’s name.
